The Southwest Kansas Library System, along with the Dodge City Public Library, the Dodge City Area Chamber of Commerce, and the Dodge City Convention and Visitor’s Bureau, is pleased to announce free admission to customer service training presentations, “Lead Through Your Service” and “Lead Through Your Customer”, that will encourage business leaders and employees to strive to create fantastic and memorable customer service. The presentations are open to businesses and service organizations throughout southwest Kansas and will be held at the United Wireless Conference Center in Dodge City. Speaker

Stevens County Library’s 3rd Annual Summer Reading T-Shirt Design Contest Open to ages 6-18 Over 300 kids could be wearing YOUR design! 2014 Theme is: SCIENCE 1. Designs must be black-on-white line drawings. 2. Designs must be original and drawn by hand. Due to copyright concerns, no computer-generated designs will be accepted. 3. Designs must be appropriate for children AND must represent the theme. (Participants may be asked by library staff to edit their designs prior to the voting process.) 4. Participants must write their name on the back of their artwork. 5. Entries are due by March 14, 2014.
