PUBLIC RESTROOMS
Due to recurring vandalism in the public restrooms, we are again having to lock the doors and open them for our patrons. We apologize for this major inconvenience, but know that acceptable bathroom facilities are more important.
TEMPORARY LIBRARY HOURS
Until further notice, the library will be open from 9 – 6 Monday through Friday, 9 – 5 Saturday and closed on Sunday. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
RECIPE SWAP
The library is now accepting recipes for the Recipe Swap Luncheon, which will be held Thursday, December 12 from 11:30am to 1:00pm at the Stevens County Library Meeting Room. A recipe book containing all submitted recipes will be given to each person that shares a recipe and attends the Swap with their dish.
There are three ways to enter your recipes in the swap. You may enter your recipes online through our website at www.stevenscountylibrary.com; you may email your recipes to recipes@stevenscountylibrary.com; or you may simply bring your recipes to the library. Make your recipe (enough to serve 12-15 people), bring it to the luncheon, sample the other submitted recipes, and take home a booklet of all the recipes entered! The luncheon will be a come and go format and if you are not able to stay and visit, you can grab a plate “to go.” We will accept recipes from now until Saturday, November 27.
FESTIVAL OF TREES
You, your club, or your organization is invited to enter a tree in the SCL’s annual Festival of Trees. Fill out an entry form, online through our website, or using a paper form, set up your tree between November 27 and December 6, and encourage your friends, family, acquaintances, and strangers to vote! Food items can be turned in at the front desk for tickets, or tickets can be purchased, and then tickets can be dropped in the container of your favorite tree. All proceeds will go to Project Hope. See our webpage for details. Prizes will be awarded to trees in each category.
