Library ebooks for Kindle? Here’s how to get the ball rolling.

3M Cloud Library, our statewide ebooks library, has approached Amazon about Kindle compatibility. We would like Kindle owners to also be able to use our statewide ebooks. Kindle owners, please help by letting Amazon know that you would like your device to be compatible with the 3M Cloud Library! 1. Log in to your Amazon account. 2. Go to the Kindle Support page. 3. Use the “Contact Us” button to send a feedback email to Amazon.

Kim Heger loaned us her copy of “Little House on the Prairie” by Laura Ingalls Wilder…signed by cast members of the television series! Thanks, Kim! We added a few other books and posters we own that are signed by the author or illustrator. We have many more books, but they are all checked out!! Moon Over Stevens County

Library News, Summer Reading

Moon Over Stevens County You are invited to contribute photographs of the Moon over Stevens County, KS. The images will be collected during the Summer Reading Program (June 6 * July 18) and posted in chronological order. The collection will form a library display featuring the Moon’s changing appearance in our local sky over the course of six weeks. Email your moon photos to youthservices@stevenscountylibrary.com, post them to our Facebook page, or print them and submit them at the front desk. Please include your name and the date and approximate time the moon photo was taken.

Summer Reading Begins June 1!

Our Summer Reading Programs begin this Friday, June 1! Tally sheets for Dream Big, Missions for Own the Night (4-th-8th grade), and BINGO cards for Between the Covers will all be available at 8:00am in the library.  Online page entry for Dream Big will also begin at 8:00am on Friday. Your child’s username is his/her first and last name “squished” together (firstlast – no space!) and the password is their last name. If you have any issues logging in, please call Stacey at (620) 544-2301. Check out our online calendar for a schedule of youth events!

Attention Young Readers! Governor Sam Brownback wants to help you improve your reading skills, so he has created a program, Read Kansas Read,  that will help keep you reading all summer.
